Out of Commission

My camera battery does not work so we are in the process of getting a new one. Which means there have been no pictures lately. So maybe when I get some pictures from our camping adventure with nana and papa I will update plus Madison is now four months old (can't believe it). New posts to come.....

Bryce's "Surprise" Party

Welp, Bryce entered his thirties on Tuesday (sorry for not putting a shout out for him on his actual b-day. Friday though I threw him a surprise party. It was a sports theme party with food from a sporting event including nachos, cracker jacks, gatorade, "mini hot dogs, and soda. People came dressed up in some sort of sports attire and we had an awesome relay race along with what was supposed to be a wii tournament but turned into just playing the wii. It was a fun night- thanks dad for staying and watching the kids.

Taylor's 5th Birthday!

I can't believe that Taylor is now five years old as of yesterday. We had a superheroes birthday part for him. He was so excited! I couldn't get the pictures to move so they are starting from the end of the party to the beginning.

The beginning of the party. I had bags with a cape and a stencil of the letter of the first name in them. They got to decorate the cape and then a mask. Then they did the treasure hunt, the pinata, had hot dogs for lunch, opened presents, and then had cake. The party was a big hit. (Thanks Brittany for the cape and mask idea, everyone loved them.)

So we went out to Utah and Idaho for about two weeks. We did several things and we really enjoyed being around grandparents. This is four generations of the grills!

So my sister and mother in law, and I attempted a hike with five little ones. We got about ten minutes up the trail and it started raining and then it started hailing on us. We quickly turned around and headed back down the trail. The top one is the before and the second is once we got down. We all were drenched. It was too bad we didn't make it up to the top to see the lake.I was so tired from the trip that I fell asleep right before we left just sitting in between the pillows. Thanks Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa and everyone else for making it a great trip!

Madison's Blessing

Since all of Bryce's family and most of my family live in Utah we decided that when we were in Utah for a little vacation we would bless Madison. It was a wonderful day with a great group of people and a wonderful blessing. Thank you to everyone that participated and were there.

Gems!! Not really!

On Monday night we were the lucky ones that got picked to have our car broken into. It was about 1 a.m and Taylor started crying so I went into his room and turned on his music and left. About a minute later he started crying again as someone's car alarm was going off. Bryce woke up this time and said that is our alarm. So I went and calmed down Taylor while Bryce turned off the alarm. A couple of minutes later I looked out the window and could see two people walking, I bet it was them who did it. Plus the first time Taylor woke up he probably heard the glass break since the window was open in the other room. We didn't go outside that night but when Bryce got up he went and checked it out. Sure enough they had broken into our car and taken our gps. Why are people so dumb and mean? It just made me really mad. The picture above is just some of the glass from the inside of the car. It had shattered everywhere. I will be vacuuming up glass the next dozen times I vacuum since it went everywhere and with so many tiny pieces. I just think, I am glad it wasn't my house. Thanks to the hoodlums out there we have to dish out money that shouldn't be going to that! (My little nieghbor thought the pieces of glass were gems, I wish)

Father-Son Outing

Real Salt lake was in town to play the Colorado Rapids. Bryce got tickets from his buddy so he decided to take Taylor with him to the game. Taylor couldn't wait to go especially when he got dressed up in a soccer shirt and Real scarf. He had a great time, yelling at the mascot to come sit by them, eating popcorn, and spending time with his daddy. Thanks Bryce for taking him out.
