Easter

We are down in Utah this week so we were there for Easter. We got here on Saturday so that night we dyed eggs. Taylor really enjoyed it. His favorite part was blow drying the egg wrapper to the egg. Brooklyn would just take the eggs and squish and break them so we didn't let her enjoy in the festivities that long.

Sunday morning we went to church and the kids came home and found their Easter baskets and then their cousins came up and we had a little Easter egg hunt. Brooklyn stood there for a minute and after a couple of eggs she got the hang of looking for the egg and putting it in her basket. Taylor being the oldest scored the most because he knew what was going on. It was a good Easter, Taylor got toss across which he loved and Brooklyn got the old school fisher price cash register.

My Sweet Husband

Last week I was hanging out at home with the kids and the doorbell rings. I was not expecting anyone. I opened the door and looked down and there was a box of flowers! I was shocked and was wondering if they had the wrong address. I brought them in and opened the note. Bryce had surprised me with Lilies and the sweetest note ever. I started to cry when I read the note because it was so nice. Thanks honey, I love you. It was such a nice surprise. I had never received Lilies before and I love them.

Yes I am blogging about Family home evening this week. The main reason is because I actually got pictures of Bryce so I thought I needed to post them. This week we talked about how Heavenly Father made everything possible for us to live on here on earth and made it beautiful for us to enjoy. so we explained that he made the sky, clouds, rainbows, grass, flowers, and everything else outside (which he already knew). For the activity we walked around outside and took the kids to the park to show them all the things we have to enjoy. They both love the park so they really liked this one. Not quite sure what he is doing there.

Bryce got to swing with each child. Most of the pics didn't turn out so this is the best one of Taylor and his daddy.

HELP

I really need some advice here. Taylor has been waking up in the middle of the night. He first wanted to come sleep in our room with us. I have him not asking for that anymore but now he wants me to lay with him a minute or sing him a ton of songs. Sometimes it takes me an hour to get out of his room without him screaming. I can't take it. In the morning I am tired and cranky. He can be worse than a newborn some nights. If he wakes up he will usually come running out of his room and sit in front of our door screaming mommy. it is so frustrating so if anyone has any advice on what to do to try and get him to stop, please let me know.

The pediatrician told me to either make it so he can't get out of his room, not lock his door but a gate or something. Or if I couldn't do that then to lock our bedroom door and totally ignore him.
I felt so bad because I tried that for 3 nights and he just screamed for hours, had ended up going poo but did not wipe himself and went to bed like that. Plus the next few nights he said mommy don't lock your door, that made me so sad. I just don't know what to do.

By the way if anyone is a Desperate Housewife fan, those houses were on Wisteria Lane. It was pretty cool because they were cleaning up the tornado mess when we were there.
