Discovery Center

Sorry there are a lot of pictures but I couldn't choose. Bryce had a Friday off and so we took the kids down to the Discovery Center. It was pretty good but I just wish they had more little kids things plus we went when there was a ton of field trips there so kids were everywhere. Taylor loved checking everything out and Brooklyn was just as excited.

They had this little grocery store area, both kids went crazy in there. Taylor knew exactly what to do, got his groceries, put them on the conveyor belt, and rang them up, plus bagged them! Brookly just added spices in her cart and would take the other kids shopping carts.

They both loved this thing too. It would make a tornado. The kids would just wave their arms through it. I could not get them away from this.

I'm A little W.T.

This was what I did yesterday morning. I had to get up early and head on down to the oral surgeon. Yes I was having a baby tooth I still had extracted and a tooth implant put in it's place. Before they started the procedure I really wish I had my camera to take a picture of how I looked sitting in the operating chair.

They first had to hook up ekg's to me, then they had an oxygen tube in my nose, taped to my face, they then hooked up the IV in my arm with some little brace thing so that my arm wouldn't move and the IV would flow smoothly, and aftert they hooked that up, they had these thick white straps to strap my arms to the chair. I thought I was in a mental institute or something but I just kept thinking I wish I had my camera. I told the nurse they have more stuff hooked up to me then in the hospital. A few seconds after that I didn't remember a thing, I was out.

I had Taylor help me out by taking some pictures because he is pretty good at it. So here I am looking real good a few hours after the surgery. It was taken out on the bottom right side of my mouth. There are a couple of pictures of the missing tooth so maybe you don't want to look but I had to get some pictures of my W.T. mouth since I will not actually have a tooth on it until next year.


There is the nice hole in my teeth. It was still a little bloody.
Isn't that pertty. At least it is toward the back so it is not too noticable.

The latest Fashion Trend

This is what Brooklyn likes to wear lately. Taylor's underwear on the outside of her clothes plus she is into hats lately. She goes and looks in Taylor's underwear drawer and grabs a pair and brings them to you to have you put them on. Crazy girl. Hopefully she will be more trendy then her mom.

Plus she loves my shoes!

Jamie's first Haircut

On Sunday I convinced Taylor to let me cut his hair. After telling him that we could do it outside and that he could wear the "Bat-cape". It was a little windy outside so it would make the cape flow in the wind. Taylor really liked that and it made him sit still. I had never cut his hair before. Yes I know it looks like a buzz but I did use two different guards but since I am so unexperienced I didn't know how long or short each guard would cut. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try and do the blending but since the 2 and 3 are about the same you can't really tell. Hopefully next time it won't look like a buzz and will turn out ok.

After the haircut he wanted to run around in the yard with the wind blowing his cape. He thought that was cool. and of course Brooklyn had to have a try.

Old stomping grounds

When we were in Utah we went to Bryce's old stomping grounds. The BYU baseball field. We all spent the afternoon watching the game against Oregon State. It was nice to be back there. I hadn't been to a game since Bryce played. The kids seemed to enjoy it as well, especially their popcorn.

Brooklyn would follow the big kids and spent the whole time climbing up and down the rows, the whole fam took up about three.
Here we are at the Living Aquarium in Draper, Utah with Nana and my sister-in-law and her two kids. All of the kids seemed to enjoy the stingrays, probably because they could stick their hands in the water.

They had this area with tunnels and fish tanks. This was Brooklyn looking eye to eye with Nemo. She loved this area. She also really liked the sharks and wanted to keep going back to their tank. As they would swim by the glass she would jump. She loved this place. It was great for the kids.

I have been a Centennial Patriots fan since I started going there in 1996. I guess I will now have to become a Mountain View Maverick since I have decided to help coach cheerleading there. I will still love Centennial but I will have to cheer for my own cheerleaders now at Mountain View.

I am excited and scared about this. Tryouts are this week for the girls and instead of having judges and a tryout day, all the coaches are watching the girls and at the end of four days we are

picking our squads. I have been out of the cheer loop for awhile now so I feel intimidated by the other coaches and the decisions I might make. My old coach, the head coach at Mountain View, said not to worry, it will all come back to you. Let's hope. I think it should be fun, very busy though. Happy cheering :)- and car washes, fundraisers, and all that stuff all over again.

Where's the leak???

Tonight after the dinner the kids decided to go upstairs and play. I was okay with that because then I could clean the kitchen without them all over me. It had been about a half hour and neither kid was crying. I thought wow they are getting along good. I figured they would be making a mess in Taylor's room with all the toys and books but they were playing good so I left them alone. A few minutes later I thought things are going too good I better go check on them.

To my pleasant surprise I walked upstairs to what looked like a water leak. The bathroom floor was drenched, just a complete puddle. The carpet in front of the bathroom was soaked and it only led to a trail to his bedroom. In Taylor's room his rug was soaked, his little table had a huge puddle on it, books were soaking wet under the table and the carpet below the table was just sooo drenched. I just didn't know what to do.

I asked Taylor where water was supposed to be, he said, "In the sink." That was the right answer so why was it everywhere? I asked him what he was doing, "I was washing Brooklyn's hair." Yes Brooklyn was drenched head to toe sitting on one of the chairs with purple lips and shivering, but not crying. And to make things better, instead of using the baby soap he had used the hand soap. "Thanks for the scalp massage brother."

So we spent like an hour soaking up all the water in the carpet and blow drying it to help it dry.
I had a whole load of laundry of just towels from trying to clean up the water mess. Wow I hope that doesn't happen again. At least it is not my house. Taylor seemed to figure out that water stays in the tub, sink and outside, and that he is not allowed to wash Brooklyn's hair, only mommy.

You really can't see all of the water but the whole bathroom floor was soaked and one big puddle.
Notice the puddle on the table, and all those dark spots on the carpet were water. He was just taking the cup and filling it up in the bathroom sink and pouring it wherever he wanted.
This doesn't even closely show how much water was really outside of the bathroom.
